Basketball Court Technical Specifications

Basketball Court Technical Specifications • You can find our standard technical specifications for basketball court construction below. Our technical specifications for basketball courts are written for open basketball courts and regardless of size. Please contact us for the technical specifications of the indoor basketball court.

INFRASTRUCTURE WORKS

  • After the application work is done in the area where the basketball court will be built, the ground is levelled to zero code.
  • After the earthmoving work is done, the excavation is done at a depth of 25cm for the surrounding girders.
  • 25cm wide, 50cm high double surface wooden formwork is attached to the excavated area. Three lower and three upper reinforcing bars of Ø10mm diameter are placed inside the mould.
  • Ø8mm diameter stirrups are connected to the iron reinforcement with 25cm intervals.
  • After connecting stirrups, anchor pipes are fixed to the iron reinforcement in the mould with 3m spacing (Ø76x3mm) to the places where the surrounding poles will come.
  • BS 20 (C 20) Ready-mixed concrete is poured into the surrounding moulds to form reinforced concrete beams. • Basketball Court Technical Specification

SOIL FILLING TYPES

1- CONCRETE FLOOR (Applications: Tartan, Synthetic Turf)

  • Levelling is done by laying 5cm (16-22mm) crushed stone 2 in the field surrounded by concrete girders.
  • Levelling is done by pouring (12-15) Cm mesh steel reinforced BS 20 (C-20) ready concrete by giving a slope of 0.005% (five per thousand) on the levelled crushed stone.

2- ASPHALT FLOOR (Applications: Acrylic, Synthetic turf, and Tartan)

  • The concrete is surrounded by a (10-15) cm stabilized material or plentmix filling and compacted with a vibratory roller.
  • On the compacted ground, a slope of (5-7) cm zero (0) is laid and rolled with a slope of 0.005% (five per thousand).

3- ASPHALT FLOOR ON CONCRETE (Applications: Acrylic, Synthetic turf, and Tartan)

  • Levelling is done by laying 5cm (16-22mm) crushed stone 2 in the field surrounded by concrete beams.
  • Levelling is done by pouring (12-15) Cm mesh steel reinforced BS 20 (C-20) ready concrete by giving a slope of 0.005% (five per thousand) on the levelled crushed stone.
  • (5-7) cm zero (0) surface asphalt is laid and rolled on the concrete floor.

IRON PIPE WORKS

  • After the infrastructure is completed, (Ø60x2mm) pipes with a 4m height are mounted vertically by welding to the pipes (Ø76x3mm) that are anchored to the concrete girder.
  • 3 rows (top, middle and bottom) Ø60x2mm pipes are welded horizontally.
  • Tubes are welded diagonally to corners, short and long edges (Ø 60x2mm).
  • For the lighting, 4 pieces of (Ø76x3mm) pipes with a 5m height are connected to the construction by welding.
  • One hinged door is made of pipe (Ø60x2mm) at the desired place.
  • The manufactured iron materials are painted with synthetic resin special metal anticorrosion paint (Dark Green), which combines the features of the anticorrosive protective topcoat glossy paint.

WIRE MESH WORKS

  • The area around with 4m height, 3.5 mm wall thickness, with a mesh having interocular distance of 40x40mm is coated with dipped galvanized PVC coated spiral wire mesh.
  • After the wire mesh is stretched and connected, 5 mm steel rope is stretched in 2 rows around the field, and then the tensioned steel ropes are fixed with terminals.

LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL WORKS (optional)

  • Projector poles which are manufactured as ladder are installed with 4-8 pieces (varies according to field dimensions) Imported 400 W Metal Halide bulb projectors are installed.
  • Electrical connections are made with TSE certified rubber insulated 4 × 4 NYY Cable.
  • Electrical Installation up to the panel is installed and the projectors are delivered in working condition.

ASSEMBLY OF EQUIPMENT

Mounting of the equipment that is suitable for the project is done on the ground with eyebolts. (Basket Hoop and other accessories) • Basketball Court Specification

FLOORING WORKS

TARTAN GROUND

  • For the construction of tartan floor, firstly cured concrete or asphalt floor surface is cleaned and made free of dust and foreign materials.
  • Primer (Undercoat) is applied on the surface to increase the retention of the material to be applied.
  • Following the primer layer, the SBR Granules with a diameter of (1-4) mm (specially selected) are mixed with 20% Polyurethane Binder and laid with a paver thickness of 8mm.
  • The laid material is expected to cure for approximately 24 hours.
  • At the end of the curing time (1-4) mm Diameter (High Strength and UV resistant) Colored TPV or EPDM Granules are mixed with 20% Polyurethane Binder and laid with finisher having a  7mm Thickness.
  • On the elastic floor, the game lines are drawn using acrylic paint and the field is made ready for use.

ACRYLIC FLOOR (Applied on asphalt)

  • Before the construction of the acrylic floor, the surface of the cured asphalt is cleaned and made free of dust and foreign matter.
  • Primer (undercoat) is applied on the surface to increase the retention of the material to be applied.
  • After the primer application, a Resurfecer layer is applied to cover the pores on the floor.
  • Three layers of Coushion (powder SBR mixture) are then applied to the substrate to form an elastic layer (upon request).
  • Two coats of Acrylic paint are applied on the created layer.
  • Game lines are drawn on acrylic paints according to the project and the field is made ready for use.

ARTIFICIAL TURF

  • Geotextile Flecked Artificial turf felt is laid on concrete or asphalt ground prepared.
  • Sand and Granule Filled (5 Years Warranty, 20-26MM) Turf is laid on the felt. (Technical specifications vary according to turf types)
  • The junction points of the laid turf are bonded with the help of Helmetin cloth, 20 cm for the joints, 30 cm for the lines, using special two-component polyurethane adhesive
  • Field Game lines are cut and placed according to the project.
  • Special silicon sand, which is sieved, washed and kiln-dried sand is poured 22-30 Kg / m2 (varies according to the turf type used)
  • The laid sand material is brushed and the field is made ready to play.

POLYURETHANE FLOORS

  • We have special polyurethane floors for indoor and outdoor basketball court construction.
  • We recommend our Indoor Polyurethane product for indoor sites.
  • Polyurethane floor paint can be applied in desired colours.

SPORT PARQUET FLOORS

  • Indoor basketball is the most preferred type of flooring in person-made and indoor sports halls.
  • For professional basketball courts sports parquet floors are required.
  • Please contact us for sports parquet flooring types and prices. •Basketball Court Technical Specification
