Padel tennis is a racket sport similar to traditional tennis and is played over three sets. The padel racket is shorter than a tennis racket and has a solid surface with no strings.
The rules are largely the same as tennis, but with a key difference: in standard tennis, if the ball hits the wall, the point ends; in padel, the game continues after the ball rebounds off the wall. If the ball bounces once on the ground, play continues — but multiple bounces end the rally.
Padel does not require excessive strength, making it suitable even for children. It is an enjoyable activity for families to play together. The game is simple, with relatively few rules. Although up to 8 players can take turns on the court, it is most commonly played in doubles (2 vs 2).
In padel, strategy outweighs power, which makes the game more dynamic, tactical, and enjoyable for players of all ages and skill levels.
